Weight loss is a massive global industry. With over a third of the world's population either overweight or obese, products and tools to help weight loss have soared in popularity. Yet, despite the range of different products on the market, are we getting slimmer and healthier? Is it possible that weight loss companies could be victims of their own success?

Childhood. It's a uniquely special time when anything is possible; when we could get lost in the moment and live life to the fullest. However, somewhere around the age of 5 or 6, we begin to lose these wonderful traits and start becoming self-conscious and aware of the thoughts and feelings of others. Why is this? And what would the child within us make of the person we've become?
 
In this episode, Pete helps us to dive back into our past to uncover the forgotten memories of what really made us feel alive. Taking this a step further, Pete asks us to question what we wanted to be when we grew up and what the reasons were for this. For many of us, we wanted to give to the world by helping and inspiring others and Pete outlines the consequences that emerge when we don't live up to the inner child's dreams.

Are you a conman? Hopefully, in the traditional sense, the answer to this should be obvious - but what about conning ourselves? Are you being what you are capable of being, or lying to yourself and settling for something else?
 
In this episode, we continue to explore the topic of self-identity and start to unpick the factors underpinning what we show to the wider world. Pete describes how it is our inner dialogue which governs whether we reach our potential and more importantly, how we can influence this dialogue to move in a positive direction.
 
Pete puts this into the wider context, outlining how the adrenaline response (to fight to flight) is intrinsically linked to our inner dialogue and creation of stress. Moreover, Pete reminds us that if (at least part) of our meaning is to enjoy life, maintaining healthy internal dialogue is key.
