My Mum learned this little ditty when she was a child, and she is still saying it to this day and it has rubbed off on me.

I believe that the most amazing thing anyone can do is work to get better in their life. It isn’t easy – everything around us has made our lives easy and we encouraged to settle rather than pay the price for improving. And yet, as a species, settling is killing us.

Your life is a story and you are the author. Every choice you make and every action you take, advances your story. So, when you reach the end of your life and your story comes to an end, what do you want to be able to look back on and say?

In this podcast I’ll draw on the examples of some of the top performers in their field – people like Michael Jordan, Ronnie O’Sullivan and Serena Williams – who have never stopped trying to get better. From them I’ll challenge you to follow their example and work to get better every single day.
