The Law of Attraction - a new age fad or the real deal? 

We all live our lives in accordance with law and order, which govern our actions and prevent us from causing harm to others. However, there are other 'laws' - the beliefs that we hold - which also have a major impact on how we live our lives. 

In this episode, Pete discusses the Law of Attraction and shares his personal thoughts on what it takes to lead a better life.

The Law of Attraction, defined as the ability to attract whatever it is that you think about most intently, has become incredibly popular in recent years. Yet despite this, we are not all where we want to be, leading some to question whether this is Law is fact or fiction. Colin starts by sharing his story of a lifetime in the fitness industry and how it changed suddenly after a stroke and cancer in quick succession. Describing the emotional journey he had as a result of having a stroke as a fitness professional, Colin outlines how important his mental and physical fitness helped him to bounce back from what might otherwise have been a very different story.
 
Post trauma, Colin gained a new interest in defying the ageing process and started specialising in training for the over 40s. He describes two common challenges encountered by his clients: 1) gaining weight around the gut and 2) regeneration of damaged tissue and how outlines the importance of hormones levels in regulating these conditions.

Childhood. It's a uniquely special time when anything is possible; when we could get lost in the moment and live life to the fullest. However, somewhere around the age of 5 or 6, we begin to lose these wonderful traits and start becoming self-conscious and aware of the thoughts and feelings of others. Why is this? And what would the child within us make of the person we've become?

Are you a conman? Hopefully, in the traditional sense, the answer to this should be obvious - but what about conning ourselves? Are you being what you are capable of being, or lying to yourself and settling for something else?

In our special monthly episode, we are joined by not only one, but 2 amazing Mi365 members of the month for July 2018: Kath and Bryan Harold!
 
As one of the longest active members of the Mi365 community, Kath shares with us how she initially became involved in Mi365 after trying lots of different strategies to lose (and keep off) excess weight. Having seen the positive changes in Kath, Bryan describes his journey into Mi365; ultimately becoming an Elite member after the first summit in 2016.
 
The couple go on to describe the foundations that Mi365 has helped them to establish, including renewed confidence, self-respect and awareness. Bryan describes how creation of a masterplan specifically has helped him to meet his goals, as well as shifting his mindset to asking:

The Menopause - it's something that roughly half of us will all go through, yet is often a taboo subject. Championing the change for a more menopause-friendly society is British TV presenter and menopausal woman (!) Andrea McLean, who in this episode, shares her experience and the challenges she's faced as a result.
 
From backpacking through to resignations, Andrea outlines her story to date of how she ended up hosting Loose Women - one of Britain's most popular daytime talkshows. Being in the public eye, Andrea described the challenges that early-onset menopause presented, including frequent and powerful panic attacks and how that led her to seek medical help and start a course of HRT and ultimately make the decision to have a full hysterectomy - which she announced live on TV.
 
Fast-forward several years and now Andrea is a leading champion for the menopause and is writing a book, based on her experiences, to help other women thrive during this period of great change. Money - it's the thing we all need, but are told not to talk about for fear of offending others. In this episode of the Mi365 Business Series, we crack the lid on money making - listen to Pete's incredible story of how he went from four clients in a late-night gym to selling a successful business for £2.4 million.
 
Pete begins by sharing details of his early life, discussing his time as a personal trainer and being fascinated as to why he would see people join gyms but either fail to attend or not get positive results. This simple observation set him on a trajectory to create his first weight loss business (Shape Up), as well as getting national media coverage and publishing best-selling books. Fast-forward several years and a fortuitous chance encounter, Pete describes his motivation for selling the business and the trials that followed - from the negotiation table through to cashing the cheque.
 
After selling the business and a series of poor decisions later, Pete describes his realisation that many of us don't know how to deal with money.   1. Write ideas down! The brain is terrible at holding onto ideas for extended periods of time
  2. Try drawing rather than writing! What does your current and desired realities look like?
  3. Decide on 3 bold steps - what can you do today to move towards your desired reality?
 
Remember - shifting to your desired reality requires a mastery over the mundane! Even an 'overnight success' often takes more than 10 years!
