We all have heroes. Whether it’s a relative, friend or someone
from TV, our heroes have the power to shape our future decisions
and guide who we become.
In this emotional finale to the Mi365 Podcast series, we hear
from our host Pete Cohen about one of his heroes – actor/comedian
Rik Mayall, made famous during the 80s with hit British sitcoms
including Black Adder and The Young Ones.
Pete describes the duality of our minds – from the inspired
genius that exists within us all to the self-limiting duck that
stops us from expressing our true selves. This balance is governed
by the quality of our thoughts, with Pete explaining the link
between thoughts, emotions, feelings and the quality of our
lives.
By changing our thoughts, we can change our lives – especially
by using the power of humour to take back control from the duck and
live life on our own terms. Rik – an excellent user of humour –
outlined four key principles which Pete contextualises into our
modern, stressful environment:
1. All men are equal. No one can be
your genuine superior.
2. Your future is as bright as you make
it.
3. Change is a constant of life – never
lose your wisdom
4. If you want to live a complete and
full life, you have to be free. Love is the answer.
Join us as we conclude the Mi365 Podcast series with an epic
tribute to a true genius – we all have the ability to have impact
and bring light into others’ lives.
