Pete Cohen Podcast

Thanks for checking out my podcasts. Think of it as free resource, think of it as a top coach dispensing advice for nothing, think of it what you will, but it’s there and I’m there to be exploited. All I want in return is for thousands of people to join in the conversation and share their positive tales too. We all want to live a happy life and we all recognise constructive changes we could make to improve things. We’re all on a journey, so let’s share it with the world and create a snowball effect of positivity! Visit Petecohen.com for more info

What do you do when no-one is watching? Many of us lose sight of our rituals when we are unaccountable and this hinders us from reaching our full potential. However, what do you think world-class athletes do when no-one is watching? Is it likely that they would respond in a different way?

In this episode, Pete interviews the amazing Sally Gunnell - the only British woman to have held Commonwealth, European, World and Olympic track titles concurrently to learn more about the success mindset. Sally shares with us her story of how she became a household name, the painful lessons that she learnt along the way and how she has adopted sports psychology tools for coaching business executives and living life to the fullest.

In this episode, you will learn:

1. Why becoming goal orientated is the secret to success,
2. How to control the inner voice & the extraordinary power mastering of self-talk can have on performance,
3. The importance of analysis and evaluation in making incremental improvements.

I loved the strength of her belief and how that focussed her goals. When I didn’t believe I could win.. guess what I didn’t . This helps me to break down my negative belief that links confidence to arrogance and become proud of my goals and dedication.
